ClayTech CLA INOX230A INOX 230A Multi-Stage Pump with Aquatron Controller, 35 m Head

The ClayTech INOX A Series is a multi-stage, self-priming pump supplied with an Aquatron controller for automatic operation, sold as the INOX 230A (540 W, 35 m maximum head), INOX 240A (720 W, 48 m) and INOX 250A (985 W, 60 m). All three are rated at 100 L/min maximum flow and can self-prime to a depth of 4 m (manufacturer-stated).

The controller gives automatic operation with an adjustable start pressure, includes a pressure gauge and has built-in dry-run protection. The Aquatron controller starts the pump when a tap is turned on and stops it about 10 seconds after the tap is turned off. It stops the pump when there is no flow, which protects it from running dry, and the FAILURE LED on the front of the controller shows that alarm (manufacturer-stated). The controller also restarts the pump after 24 hours to see whether there is water in the tank (manufacturer-stated).

The pump body is stainless steel with a composite impeller and a carbon/ceramic mechanical seal, and the pump is rated IPX4. The data sheet states that it complies with AS/NZS 4020 requirements (manufacturer-stated).

Selecting the right option

Choose by the head you need: 35 m for the 230A, 48 m for the 240A and 60 m for the 250A, all at 100 L/min maximum flow (manufacturer-stated). If you already have a controller or pressure switch, the same pumps are available bare in the INOX Series bare multi-stage pumps; the Aquatron controller is also sold separately as the Aquatron2P pump controller.
