Selecting the right option
Choose the HP3R when you want twist focus and a rechargeable battery with the option to swap to AAA alkaline. The HP3 is the AAA-only version with two modes, and the HP2R is a smaller rechargeable twist-focus penlight. Expect lower output on alkaline batteries than on the rechargeable battery, as the table shows.
