Coast HX5 Pure Beam Slide Focus pocket torch

The Coast HX5 is a compact pocket torch with the Pure Beam Focusing System and Slide Focus: push or pull the slide to move between a flood beam and a spot beam with one hand. A two-way clip fits to a pocket in either direction or to the bill of a hat.

It runs on one AA alkaline battery, which is included, and also works with rechargeable Zithion-X, NiMH and lithium 14500 batteries. Light output depends on the battery type. It is impact resistant and weather resistant, with an LED that is virtually unbreakable, and is tested and rated to ANSI/FL1 standards. The rechargeable batteries are not included.

Choosing the right option

Choose the HX5 when you want a one-handed flood-to-spot slide focus in a pocket torch that takes a single AA battery, with the option of a rechargeable cell. The HX3 and HX4 are clip lights with magnetic mounting, and the HP3 is a penlight with twist focus on 2 x AAA.
