Coast COAXP6R Rechargeable Pure Beam Focusing LED Torch, 400 Lumens, 75g

The Coast XP6R is a compact rechargeable Pure Beam focusing LED torch. Coast gives it as 400 lumens on High with a 180m beam distance, under 10cm long and 75g, small enough for a pocket, a cup holder or a lanyard (manufacturer-stated). It runs on a Zithion-X rechargeable battery with a charging cable included, or on a CR123 lithium battery that is not included (manufacturer-stated).

Slide Focus with Beam Lock moves the beam between the Ultra View Flood beam and the Bulls-Eye Spot beam with one hand, and the torch has three output modes: High, Medium and Low (manufacturer-stated). A charging indicator shows the charge state, and Coast lists the torch as IP54 water and dust resistant (manufacturer-stated). The Coast ZX310 Zithion battery is the replacement listed for this torch, and the same battery is listed for the XPH25R headlamp.

Selecting the right option

Choose the XP6R when pocket size and low weight matter most: Coast gives it as 75g and under 10cm long (manufacturer-stated), against 160g for the XP9R and 162g for the XP11R. The battery format changes with the model: the XP6R uses a ZX310 or one CR123, the XP9R a ZX850 or two CR123, and the XP11R a ZX1000 or three AAA, so check the battery model before ordering a spare.
