Galmet ColdGal is a zinc-rich cold galvanising paint containing 98.5% pure zinc pigment and over 92% metallic zinc in the dry film, giving cathodic corrosion protection equivalent to hot-dip galvanising on steel surfaces.

Selecting the right option

Apply ColdGal to clean, bare steel — degrease and abrade the surface for best adhesion. The zinc-rich formulation provides cathodic protection: for best results, apply at the recommended dry film thickness of 50–75 micron. Suitable as a standalone protective coating or as a primer under a topcoat system.
