Contego Anti-Vibration Gloves, Large (COANTIVIBBW000L)

The Contego anti-vibration glove is an A grade cowhide leather glove with 2.75 mm gel padding across the full palm and fingers. Contego's data sheet lists the gel padding as absorbing vibration and adding comfort, a neoprene cuff with a grip tab closure, and four way stretch spandex for movement (manufacturer-stated). The glove is blue and white (AIMS record).

The data sheet is CE Category II and gives EN 388 2343, and Beaver's catalogue gives 2132. The lower figures are used here, which gives 2132: abrasion 2, blade cut 1, tear 3 and puncture 2 (manufacturer-stated). The manufacturer gives no vibration test result for this glove, so it should not be treated as a rated anti-vibration glove. Contego lists applications as automotive, shipping, power tools, construction and carpentry (manufacturer-stated). The EN 388 result (manufacturer-stated) is read in the order abrasion, blade cut, tear and puncture, and a higher number is a higher level. A 0 means the glove did not reach level 1, and an X means that test was not done. Match the glove to your risk assessment, check the fit, and replace gloves that are worn, torn or contaminated. The ratings are test results on the glove material and do not describe every hazard on your site.
