CRC Aerosol Air Duster Dust & Lint Flammable Remover 275g
Available
CRC Air Duster is a 275g flammable aerosol that delivers a burst of compressed pure propellant gas (HFC-152a) to blow dust and lint from hard-to-reach areas. CRC says it suits offsite servicing when compressed air is not available.
CRC lists uses on electronics, PC boards, keyboards, optics and similar equipment. CRC's directions are to deactivate equipment before use and never to use it on energised equipment. The safety data sheet classifies it as an extremely flammable aerosol (H222).

Selecting the right option
This is a flammable duster. For a non-flammable gas duster see CRC Aerosol Air Brush Dust & Lint Remover 300g; CRC's data sheet for that product lists it as non-flammable but warns that aerosol cans conduct electricity.
Using it
CRC's directions: always read the entire label before using. Deactivate equipment before use. Do not use on energised equipment. Hold the can upright and do not shake it while spraying. Use short bursts, spraying from approximately 25cm from the surface. For hard-to-reach areas, attach the extension tube.
CRC's data sheet also warns that aerosol cans will conduct electricity, so keep away from all live electrical sources including battery terminals, solenoids, electrical panels and other electronic components. Use only in a well ventilated area.
Storage and handling
CRC says not to puncture, incinerate or store above 50°C.
Limits and safety
Classified on the SDS as an extremely flammable aerosol. Signal word Danger. H222: extremely flammable aerosol. H229: pressurised container, may burst if heated. Transport: UN 1950, aerosols, Class 2.1. CRC's directions: deactivate equipment before use and do not use on energised equipment. Aerosol cans conduct electricity, so keep away from all live electrical sources. Do not puncture, incinerate or store above 50°C. Use only in a well ventilated area. Read the safety data sheet before use.
