CRC Battery Maintenance Aerosol Spray On-Wipe Off 300g

CRC Battery Maintenance is a water-based foam aerosol for the removal of acid corrosion deposits, electrolytes, dirt and moisture from battery surfaces. It neutralises battery acid and electrolytes, and CRC recommends it for automotive applications.

It is sprayed on, left for one minute and wiped off. CRC says cleaning dirty connections helps eliminate energy loss and reduce voltage leakage, and that the product promotes longer battery life; CRC gives no test data for these claims.

Selecting the right option

Using it

Shake the can well. Disconnect the earth cable to prevent arcing before applying. Do not use on energised equipment.

Hold the can close to the battery surfaces and wet them thoroughly. Allow one minute, then wipe dry with a paper towel or cloth. Repeat to ensure complete removal of deposits.

Spray the cleaned metal surfaces with CRC Long Life to retard future corrosion.

Storage and handling

Do not puncture, incinerate or store above 50 °C. Keep away from live electrical sources, as aerosol cans conduct electricity.
