This Dixon aluminium die cast dust cap closes off a male cam and groove adaptor. It is a Type DC cap, which locks onto the adaptor with its cam arms. Dixon lists the aluminium die cast range in 11 sizes, from 15 mm (1/2") to 150 mm (6") (manufacturer-stated).
The body is die-cast aluminium. Dixon states that couplings made by the die-cast process must not be welded (manufacturer-stated). Dust caps and dust plugs are not to be used in any pressure applications for safety and environmental reasons (manufacturer-stated). Dixon's technical data sheet gives overall length, adaptor length, distance across flat and weight for the sizes it covers, and those figures are in the table below.

Length, across-flat and weight figures are from Dixon's technical data sheet for aluminium die cast camlocks. That sheet does not list the 15 mm and 125 mm sizes, and it lists the 3 in size as 80 mm where the catalogue lists it as 75 mm, so those rows are left blank.
Selecting the right option
Choose the size from the camlock fitting it will close: a dust cap is sized to match the coupling size, so a 50 mm dust cap goes with a 50 mm male adaptor. Match the body material to the fitting as well. Dixon states that no standard exists for the 15 mm (1/2 in) and 200 mm (8 in) camlock sizes and that these sizes generally do not interchange with other manufacturers (manufacturer-stated). Dixon's size table also prints a working pressure beside each size, but Dixon states that dust caps and dust plugs are not to be used in any pressure applications (manufacturer-stated), so treat this dust cap as a cover only and never as a pressure seal.
