Selecting the right option

Choose the gasket by the size of your wine fitting, and confirm that the fitting is from the Dixon wine range before you rely on it as a replacement. Dixon's compound guide rates EPDM as satisfactory (A) for whiskey and wines, and as unsatisfactory (D) for gasoline and kerosene (manufacturer-stated). Those ratings assume static conditions at ambient temperature, and Dixon describes the guide as general only, with suitability for a specific application resting with the end user (manufacturer-stated).
