This Dixon notched ferrule is part of the EZ Boss-Lock notched stem and ferrule system. Dixon lists seven ferrules, each for a hose outside diameter (OD) range, across four stem sizes: 40 mm, 50 mm, 75 mm and 100 mm (manufacturer-stated).
The notched design lets you remove the stem from a damaged hose by cutting away the ferrule without necessarily damaging the fitting; after inspection the stem can be reused with a new ferrule (manufacturer-stated). Dixon lists the ferrule as 304 stainless steel, and states that Dixon stems and ferrules are designed to be used together as a coupling system (manufacturer-stated).

Dixon's metric table prints the lower hose OD limit of GAS3885NO as 94.45 mm, which overlaps the upper limit of GAS3760NO (94.46 mm); other Dixon sources give a different lower limit. The lower limit is not shown here, so confirm it with us before you order a ferrule for hose around 94 to 95 mm OD. The same ferrule appears on the same row as both the Type C stem and the Type E stem.
Selecting the right option
Select by measured hose OD, not by hose ID, and pick the ferrule whose range contains it. Two ferrules cover each of the 40, 50 and 75 mm stem sizes, so check which side of the split your hose falls on. You must buy a stem (Type C coupler or Type E adaptor) as well as the ferrule to make an assembly (manufacturer-stated). Do not mix with other manufacturers' ferrules, because Dixon states stems and ferrules are designed to work as a system (manufacturer-stated).
