Dixon HUC207400 4" (100 mm) Figure 206 Hammer Union Cap, Forged Steel

This Dixon HUC207400 is a 4" (100 mm) hammer union cap for Figure 206 connections. It is forged steel meeting AISI standards (manufacturer-stated). The cap closes off a hammer union connection so that fluid does not leak while the line is under pressure or the equipment is being moved.

The cap has larger lugs than a standard nut, which makes it easier to fit and remove, and a hole for a chain or cable. Dixon lists the bolt as grade 8 carbon steel and the seal as O-ring O429BU (manufacturer-stated).

Check that your hammer union is a Figure 206 in the 4" size. Dixon warns that mixing parts from different series can cause destruction of property, serious injury or death (manufacturer-stated). A chain or cable keeps the cap with the equipment when it is removed. Dixon lists the cap O-ring separately as O429BU.
