Dixon 08/100/01/066 1800 mm (6 ft) Scaling Bar Aluminium

This Dixon aluminium round scaling bar has a lightweight aluminium tube body with forged steel ends inserted, and a 25 mm bar diameter. Dixon lists three lengths: 1800 mm, 2400 mm and 3000 mm (manufacturer-stated).

Dixon says the bar is used in underground mining operations for prying and scaling down loose rock from overhead, and that its heel is offset to 40 degrees for levering (manufacturer-stated). The three lengths here are the standard bars without hand grips; Dixon lists matching hand grip versions with an F suffix.

Selecting the right option

Choose the length for the height of the back you are working under and the room you have to swing the bar; 1800 mm is the shortest and 3000 mm the longest. Check your site procedure for the bar length allowed in your work area. The alloy steel hexagon scaling bars are a separate range.
