Dixon SS16B1510 1/2" x 3/8" (15 x 10 mm) Reducing Hex Bush M x F 316 SS BSP

This Dixon reducing hex bush has a larger male BSP thread on the outside and a smaller female BSP thread on the inside, so it reduces a female port to a smaller size. It is made from 316 stainless steel (CF8M) with a hex for the spanner. This page lists 16 size combinations, from 3/8" x 1/4" to 4" x 3" (male x female).
Dixon describes its 316 stainless steel BSP fittings as CF8M (316) stainless steel to ASTM A351, Class 150 lbs, with ISO 7-1 pipe threads, rated at 300 PSI (about 21 bar) for low-pressure service that includes chemical and corrosive environments as well as standard air and water (manufacturer-stated). In the size column, the first figure is the male thread and the second is the female thread.

Selecting the right option
Read the size as male x female: 1/2" x 3/8" has a 1/2" male thread that screws into a 1/2" female port, and a 3/8" female thread that takes a 3/8" male fitting. A bush keeps the overall length short; for a longer reduction, use a reducing nipple. BSP threads do not mate with NPT or metric threads, so confirm the thread on every mating part before you order. Dixon also lists 1/2" x 1/4" as SS16B1508, which is sold on a separate ANFO loader spare-part page; ask us if you need it.
