Dixon 08/048/18/007 10" (250 mm) Shouldered Weld Ring Split Type - Mild Steel

This Dixon shouldered split ring is the larger-size version of the shouldered weld ring, supplied in two halves so it can be fitted around large pipe and welded in place to form the shoulder for a bolted shouldered coupling. It is mild steel, and the store lists seven sizes from 250 to 600 NB (manufacturer-stated).

Dixon prints the pipe OD, the ring outside diameter (OD) and the ring width (W) for each size. The ring OD runs from 286.0 mm on the 250 NB to 622.5 mm on the 600 NB, and the width from 20.5 to 25.5 mm. Dixon lists the part as a split ring (manufacturer-stated).

Selecting the right option

Pick the ring by pipe OD and match it to the coupling size, then check the table for ring width. The bolted coupling clamps behind the shoulder, so the weld matters. Welding is work for a qualified welder.
