M8 Drop-In Anchor, 316 Stainless Steel - DINA4M8X30
Available
Made in 316 (A4) stainless steel, the Drop In Anchor is an internally threaded expansion anchor that is set flush in a drilled hole in concrete with a setting tool. A bolt or threaded rod is then screwed into it.
The range runs to 5 variants, covering sizes M6 to M16. Variants are supplied in packs of 50 to 100, depending on size.
The A4 (316) grade is stainless steel with added molybdenum, which helps it hold up where salt, pool chemicals or washdown chemicals are present. It is the more corrosion-resistant of the two common stainless grades, at a higher cost than 304. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.
Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-magnetic, although cold-worked parts can show weak magnetism. Use stainless washers and nuts with stainless fasteners, so the whole joint is made of the same material.
