Selecting the right option

Select the disc type to match the material: steel cutting discs suit mild steel and general metal; INOX/stainless steel discs are formulated without iron, sulphur, or chlorine contaminants that would cause rust or weld defects in stainless work; masonry discs suit concrete, brick, and paving. Thin discs (1.0–1.6 mm) minimise heat and kerf width for fast, clean cuts; standard thickness (2.5–3.0 mm) suits heavier cuts where disc rigidity matters. Low-speed stationary cut-off wheels are rated for lower RPM than angle grinder discs — never interchange them.
