EZO 6700-2RS Sealed Thin Section Ball Bearing 10 x 15 x 4 mm
Available
This EZO range covers 7 thin section single row deep groove ball bearings, sealed (2RS), from 10 to 30 mm bore, with outer diameters of 15 to 37 mm and widths of 4 to 4 mm. Select the size from the drop-down: each size has its own bearing number and dimensions, load ratings and limiting speed in the Model Details.
Deep groove bearings are the most widely used ball bearing type. They carry radial loads and axial loads in both directions, run at high speed and need no adjustment. The two contact rubber seals (2RS) hold the grease in and keep dust and splashes out.
Where this product is used
- Electric motors, pumps and fans
- Conveyors, gearboxes and general machinery
- Power tools and appliances
Features
- Two contact rubber seals (2RS) of nitrile rubber (NBR) hold the factory grease in and keep dust, dirt and splashes out
- Basic dynamic load ratings 0.85 to 1.4 kN and static load ratings 0.43 to 0.95 kN across the range

Limiting speed is the grease rating for the size; contact seals reduce it.
Selecting the right option
Contact rubber seals (2RS) give better protection against dust, dirt and splashes than shields and hold the factory grease in. The seal lips add friction, so a sealed bearing runs slower than an open or shielded bearing of the same size, and a high speed application is better served by an open or shielded bearing.
Fitting and use
Check the load and speed against the figures for your size before ordering and apply a suitable safety factor. Deep groove bearings must always carry a minimum radial load so the balls roll rather than slide, and heavy axial loads should be checked with AIMS before ordering.
Press on the ring that is being fitted, not the other ring or the balls: force goes through the side face of the inner ring on a shaft and through the outer ring in a housing.
Sealed bearings are lubricated at the factory and built for inner ring rotation. Do not wash them or heat them before mounting, and do not rely on them for high speed outer ring rotation.
