H58 Flexible Pin Coupling Female Half, Pilot Bore, 19 Nm
Available
Female halves for flexible pin couplings, with a pilot bore, in sizes H58 to H140. Flexible pin couplings are made of cast iron halves joined by flexible synthetic rubber (NBR) elements. Because the coupling is torsionally flexible, it moves critical torsional vibrations away from the operating area of the machine. The metal pins and flexible elements are designed so that no wear occurs when the coupling is fitted properly. The three-part design plugs together, which makes it simple to replace the elements.
Each half has a pilot bore, so you can have it bored and keywayed to suit your shaft up to the maximum bore listed for the size. A complete coupling uses one female half, one male half and a set of elements. The elements and the other half are sold separately.

Selecting and fitting
Choose the size from the torque and the shaft sizes, and apply a service factor for the type of machine. D1 and D2 are the maximum bores in the two halves, as listed in the manufacturer catalogue. The ratings and dimensions are the same for every part of a size.
A complete coupling needs one female half, one male half and one set of elements. They are listed on Flexible Pin Coupling Male Half, Pilot Bore and Flexible Pin Coupling Nitrile Element Set.
Fit the halves on the shafts, then plug them together with the elements in place. Align the two shafts as closely as you can before fitting the coupling, and check the alignment again once the coupling is fitted. Good alignment gives the longest life, whatever the coupling type.
Dimensions are as listed in the manufacturer catalogue and are for reference. Contact AIMS to confirm a measurement if it is critical to your application.
