Gates Section & Wear Gauges

The Gates belt and pulley gauge set is used to inspect V-belt groove wear and belt profile against Gates published service limits. A worn sheave groove reduces belt life significantly — worn grooves cause the belt to run low in the groove and lose grip, generating heat and accelerating wear. Gates publish specific go/no-go limits for each section.
