Gates Long (9308-10044) Length HTD 8M 10

Gates HTD timing belts 8M section use a curved tooth profile for improved load distribution and higher torque capacity than trapezoidal timing belts. They are a well-established standard for industrial synchronous drives where moderate-to-high torque transmission is required.

Long-length PowerGrip HTD belting is an industrial synchronous drive product, supplied as bulk belting rather than a pre-cut endless loop — not an automotive timing belt. Typical uses include:

• Purpose-built or one-off synchronous drives where no standard endless length is available
• Machinery builders cutting and joining belts to a custom pitch length on their own equipment
• Maintenance teams holding bulk belting on hand for fast turnaround repairs

Selecting the right option

Order by pitch (8M), width and cut length — continuous lengths are ordered in the manufacturer’s minimum-quantity increments up to the maximum continuous length available for the construction. Standard fibreglass-cord long-length HTD, 8mm pitch, is available in 20, 30, 50 and 85 mm widths (Gates part codes LL8M20/30/50/85), minimum order 50 ft, maximum continuous length 170–300 ft depending on width.
