HRC70 Coupling Element, Nitrile Rubber, 31 Nm Nominal Torque

Nitrile rubber (NBR) elements for HRC couplings, in sizes HRC70 to HRC280. The HRC coupling is made of two cast iron flanges and a rubber element that works in compression. The modular design makes fitting simple and maintenance easy, and the rubber element absorbs shock loading. Nitrile rubber and polyurethane elements are stocked to suit all stocked sizes, and the flanges come in pilot bore and taper lock versions.

The element is the part that works in compression between the two flanges, absorbs shock loading and wears. The flange halves are sold separately.

Selecting and fitting

Choose the element by coupling size and material. Nitrile rubber and polyurethane elements are both stocked for all stocked sizes, and the nominal torque in the table is the catalogue rating for the size.

Halves are on HRC Coupling Half, Pilot Bore Type B, HRC Coupling Half, Flange Taper Lock Type F and HRC Coupling Half, Hub Taper Lock Type H.

The other element material is HRC Coupling Element, Polyurethane.

Isolate the drive before working on the coupling. Align the two shafts as closely as you can before fitting the coupling, and check the alignment again once the coupling is fitted. Good alignment gives the longest life, whatever the coupling type.
