6G x 1-1/2" Square Drive Countersunk Self-Tapping Screw, 304 Stainless - CSQA26GX38
Available
The Imperial Countersunk Square Self Tapping Screw, 304 Stainless Steel is available in 28 sizes (6G to 10G) and is a countersunk head screw with a square (Robertson-style) recess and a sharp, coarse thread that cuts its own thread. The square drive grips the bit firmly so the driver is less likely to slip.
The A2 (304) stainless material suits indoor, fresh water and typical outdoor use. Where the fastening is exposed to salt air, pool chemicals or marine conditions, A4 (316) is the grade to use instead. Gauge sizes are shown as a number followed by G. On this range 6G is 3.5 mm, 8G is 4.2 mm, 10G is 4.8 mm, 12G is 5.5 mm and 14G is 6.3 mm, as listed by the supplier.
This listing has 28 variants covering sizes 6G to 10G and lengths 1/2" to 3". Each variant is supplied in packs of 100.
Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-magnetic, although cold-worked parts can show weak magnetism. In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.
