Irega 10" (250mm) Adjustable Wrench Insulated 1000V

Irega is a Spanish manufacturer of precision adjustable wrenches, widely regarded in the professional trade and industrial maintenance market for the quality of their jaw mechanism, the tightness of their jaw fit, and the durability of their chrome and black oxide finishes. Irega insulated adjustable wrenches are manufactured to IEC 60900 standard, providing 1000V AC insulation protection for electrical workers operating on or near live electrical systems. The insulation is moulded directly onto the wrench body and handle, and each wrench is individually tested and certified to 10,000V AC before delivery. Available in standard and super-wide opening configurations.

Selecting the right option

Insulated wrenches must comply with IEC 60900 (and AS/NZS 60900 in Australia) to be suitable for live electrical work — confirm the product certification before specifying for this purpose. The super-wide opening model provides a greater jaw capacity for larger electrical cable gland and conduit fittings. Inspect the insulation before each use and replace immediately if any damage, cracking, or delamination is found.
