Galmet® Keytite® Etch Primer is a single-pack epoxy etch primer that chemically bonds to bare metal surfaces, giving corrosion resistance and a sound mechanical and chemical key for topcoats.
Where it's used
- Bare mild steel and galvanised surfaces before enamel or epoxy topcoats
- Aluminium and non-ferrous metal preparation in automotive and fabrication work
- Structural steel components needing a chemical key before protective coating
- Touch-up over Galmet® ColdGal, hot-dip galvanising, DuraGal® and other zinc coatings

Selecting the right option
Choose the 1L pack for smaller jobs or the 4L for larger fabrication and maintenance runs. Stir thoroughly before and during use. Apply by brush for small areas, or spray thinned 0–15% with 500E Etch Thinner for larger areas — and get your topcoat on within the 2-hour recoat window, as etch primer shouldn't be left uncoated for extended periods.
