Knaack Monster Box Piano Type Tool Storage | K1000

The Knaack Monster Box Piano Type (K1000) is a large, lockable steel storage chest for securing tools, materials and equipment on a job site. The lid hinges along the full length of the chest like a piano lid and is supported by dual gas springs.

Inside there are two full-width shelves and an interior storage grid for hanging safety gear and other items, and the chest holds 48 cu ft (about 1,359 L). A 4-point crane lift system on a heavy-duty tubular steel frame allows centre-point rigging. Castors are not included, but the 4-way skids are pre-punched for optional castors.

Check that the 1,676 mm length and 184 kg weight suit your site, and plan how the chest will be moved or lifted. If you are comparing the three Monster Box styles, the piano style opens along its full length, the chest style is lower at 914 mm high, and the cabinet style is upright with shelves.
