The Loctite LB 8713 Super Penetrating Oil (known as Solvo-Rust Super Penetrating Oil) is a clear, straw-coloured petroleum distillate for freeing rusted or frozen bolts, lugs, screws and metal components. Its low surface tension lets it creep between rusted and corroded parts to break the bond of oxidised metal, and it doubles as a light lubricant for close-fitting and moving parts. It contains no CFCs and won't affect painted surfaces. This is the 347 g aerosol.
Shake the can well, spray an even coat from about 20 to 25 cm, then tap the part lightly to help it penetrate before undoing it. Badly seized parts may need a second application, and as the product is flammable, keep it away from ignition sources and out of pure-oxygen systems. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
