Mack Granite II Safety Boots, Black, UK/AU 4 (MKGRANIT2BBF040)

The Mack Granite II is a seven inch composite toe safety boot built for rough terrain, with protection listed for impacts from above, below and the side. Mack suggests it for workers in construction, resources and machine maintenance (manufacturer-stated). The upper is full grain leather with retro-reflective material, a scuff cap and a low catch sole.

Protection features are a MetGUARD Poron XRD foam pad over the arch, ankleGUARD foam to protect the ankle from side impact and a flexible woven synthetic fibre midsole layer that Mack says resists the penetration of a nail applied at 1,100 N of compression. The nitrile rubber sole is listed as heat resistant to 300 degrees C, slip resistant, fuel oil resistant and anti-static. Comfort features are an ADAPT sole, articulatedFIT upper, decoupleGROOVE flex, asymBEVEL heel, a memory foam insole and a FITCHECK guide printed on the insole (manufacturer-stated).

The manufacturer lists these approved standards: AS/NZS 2210.3 (Class I S1 SRC P M AN HRO); EN ISO 20345 (S1 SRC P M AN HRO); ASTM F2413-11 (M/I/75/C/75/SD/PR/Mt) (manufacturer-stated). Check the marking inside the boot, and ask AIMS for the certificate if your site needs proof. Safety footwear does not replace a risk assessment, so choose the boot for the hazards on your site, and replace boots with a damaged toe cap, a worn sole or a split upper.

Height is 180 mm and weight is 750 g. Mack gives its weights for a single boot or shoe at men's UK 8 (manufacturer-stated). The data sheet lists sizes from UK/AUS 4 to 15 (half sizes 6.5 to 10.5), in black and honey, and the table below shows the sizes and colour AIMS lists. Boots are sold by the pair.
