Mack Terrapro Zip Safety Boots, Black, UK/AU 6 (MKTERRPRZBBF060)

The Mack Terrapro Zip is a seven inch composite toe safety boot with a zip closure, made for workers who may need a quick exit from sparks and water hazards. Mack says the ADAPT sole and articulatedFIT upper help it adapt to rough surfaces, and the lightweight design is meant to reduce fatigue (manufacturer-stated). The upper is full grain leather in black and nubuck leather in honey, with a heavy duty breathable tongue and a wide, lightweight, metal free composite toe cap.

The sole is nitrile rubber, listed as heat resistant to 300 degrees C, slip resistant, fuel oil resistant and anti-static. Mack also describes it as reducing the flow of electrical current, although the ASTM marking listed below is SD (static dissipative) and not EH (electrical hazard), so check the marking in the boot if you need electrical hazard protection. Other features are XT Nodes, an Ortholite breathable memory foam insole, an asymBEVEL heel, decoupleGROOVE flex, radiatorTECH breathability, a scuff cap, a low catch sole and reflective detail (manufacturer-stated).

The manufacturer lists these approved standards: AS/NZS 2210.3 (Class I S1 SRC HRO); EN ISO 20345 (S1 SRC HRO); ASTM F2413-11 (M/I/75/C/75/SD) (manufacturer-stated). Check the marking inside the boot, and ask AIMS for the certificate if your site needs proof. Safety footwear does not replace a risk assessment, so choose the boot for the hazards on your site, and replace boots with a damaged toe cap, a worn sole or a split upper.

Height is 180 mm. The data sheet lists a weight of 2 kg at size 10 UK/AUS and does not say whether this is a pair (manufacturer-stated). The data sheet lists sizes from UK/AUS 6 to 14 (US 7.5 to 15), in black and honey, and the table below shows the sizes AIMS lists.
