Maxbor is a manufacturer of high-speed steel and carbide annular cutters, hole saws, ejection pilot pins, and accessories for magnetic drill applications. Their cutters are engineered for use with magnetic drill presses (mag drills) in structural steel fabrication, site construction, and heavy engineering, where clean through-holes in steel plate and section are required without the heat and material waste associated with twist drilling.

Maxbor annular cutters are designed for use in magnetic drill presses and compatible stationary drill presses, cutting clean through-holes in mild steel, structural steel, and stainless steel. Unlike twist drills, annular cutters remove only the annular ring of material, producing a plug and a clean hole with significantly lower thrust force and heat generation.

Maxbor annular cutters are used wherever clean through-holes in steel are required:

Selecting the right option

Select by diameter to match the required hole size, and by cutter depth to suit the material thickness — standard depth suits most structural applications, while long-series cutters are required for thick plate or stacked material. High-speed steel (HSS) cutters suit mild and structural steel; carbide-tipped variants are recommended for stainless steel or abrasive materials.
