FYH PX05 Pillow Block Bearing Housing, 25 mm (1 in) Shaft

The FYH PX is a cast iron pillow block (plummer block) bearing housing in the medium duty range. This page covers 8 housings, PX05 to PX12, for shafts from 25 to 60 mm (inch shaft sizes 1 to 2 7/16 in are also covered). These pillow block housings are supplied without an insert bearing. A complete unit such as UCPX09 is the PX09 housing fitted with a UCX09 insert bearing, which is ordered separately (see Related products). This page mixes metric and inch shaft sizes, because the matching inserts come in both bore types: the Shaft Diameter option gives the metric size first and the inch sizes in brackets.

Selecting the right option

Match the housing to the insert bearing and the shaft. The catalogue unit tables pair each housing number with specific insert bearings; for example PX09 takes UCX09 on a 45 mm shaft.

The page lists metric and inch shaft sizes together. Choose the metric size for a metric shaft; for an inch shaft pick the same housing and order the insert with the matching dash number (for example UCX09-27). Every size on this page has an inch bore listed.

The Bolt Size option is the mounting bolt for the housing, as listed in the catalogue unit tables (inch equivalent in the Model Details).

Fitting and use

The housing is supplied without an insert bearing. Order the insert separately and lock it to the shaft in the way its own type requires: a UC insert locks to the shaft with two set screws; a UK insert is a tapered bore insert that mounts on the shaft with an adapter sleeve.

Mount the housing on a flat, rigid surface using the bolt size and bolt hole spacing J shown for the size. Dimension letters follow the catalogue drawings.
