Hobson QPSMSZM016010 M1.6 x 10mm Metric Split Pin, Mild Steel, Zinc Plated

The Hobson metric split pin is mild steel with a zinc plated finish. This page lists 113 items, from M1.6 x 10mm to M13 x 150mm, in pin sizes M1.6, M2, M2.5, M3.2, M4, M5, M6.3, M8, M10 and M13. Pack quantities are 200, 100 and 50, depending on the item.

A split pin is fitted through a hole and its legs are bent apart to hold a fastener or pin in place.

The supplier description gives the size, the length, the material, the finish and the pack quantity. It does not give the wire thickness, the head diameter or any standard, so none are published here.

Pin size is the supplier's size (for example M5); the length is stated separately in millimetres and the supplier file does not say where the length is measured from.

Selecting the right option

Choose the diameter first, then the length. The supplier writes the diameter as a size such as M5 and gives the length separately in millimetres; check both against your hole and the thickness of what the pin passes through. Pack quantity changes by size (200, 100 or 50), so read the Supplied as column before ordering.
