NBR (nitrile rubber) 70 durometer O-ring cord in 6 imperial diameters from 1/16 to 1/2 in. Sold by the metre and cut to length.

Cut the cord to length and join the ends to make an O-ring for a non-standard groove, or to replace a seal when the standard size is not at hand. Nitrile rubber has good resistance to hydrocarbon fuels, greases and mineral oils.

Selecting and fitting

Choose the cord diameter to match the cross section of the O-ring or the groove. Cut the cord to the length of the groove centreline, allowing for the join, and join the ends with a suitable adhesive.
