Renold AR50A1 Roller Chain, 10 ft
Available
The Renold A&S AR50A1 is a simplex (single-strand) roller chain to the American (ANSI 50) standard, with a 15.875 mm (5/8 in) pitch. It is supplied in a 10 ft (3.048 m) length.
Renold lists the chain with a minimum breaking load of 21.8 kN, the ISO 606 minimum figure. In its A&S catalogue Renold describes the construction as solid extruded bushes and rollers, high-waisted side plates, and hardened, shot-peened plates.
The chain is to the ANSI 50 standard, so it needs ANSI 50 sprockets. It does not run on BS 10B sprockets.

Selecting and fitting
Check the chain size against your sprockets before ordering: an ANSI 50 chain needs ANSI 50 sprockets. The chain number is stamped on the chain plates.
Dimensions and breaking load are catalogue values from Renold for reference. Contact AIMS to confirm a figure if it is critical to your application.
