RM12HF Rigid Coupling Taper Lock HF Assembly, 1210 Bush

Taper lock rigid couplings in sizes RM12HF to RM50HF, supplied as the hub-flange (HF) assembly. Rigid couplings join two shafts where shaft alignment is essential. The two flanges are bolted together and the coupling is torsionally rigid. Because it has no flexibility, the shafts must be aligned before it is fitted, and a misaligned coupling can cause damage and downtime. Each flange takes a taper lock bush, so one coupling suits a wide range of shaft sizes.

Selecting and fitting

Choose the size from the torque and the shaft size, and apply a service factor for the type of machine. The catalogue lists a maximum torque for every size except RM25, so contact AIMS for the RM25 rating. Dimensions are in millimetres, H is the distance between shaft ends and J is the wrench clearance needed to tighten and loosen the bush.
