IJK 1200 Open Self Aligning Ball Bearing 10 x 30 x 9 mm

This IJK range covers 10 double row self aligning ball bearings with no seals or shields (open): the 1200, 1201, 1202, 1203, 1303, 1204, 2204, 1304, 1205 and 2205, from 10 to 25 mm bore and 30 to 52 mm outer diameter. Self aligning ball bearings have a spherical outer ring raceway, so the inner ring and balls can swing to take up small angular misalignment between shaft and housing. They suit long shafts, shafts that deflect under load and housings that cannot be bored in line. These bearings are open, with no seals or shields, so they run with the least friction and take lubricant from the machine.

Selecting the right option
Open bearings give the lowest friction and take their lubricant from the machine, but they rely on the housing for lubrication and protection. Choose a shielded or sealed bearing where the bearing is exposed.
Fitting and use
Check the load against the figures for your size before ordering and apply a suitable safety factor. Self aligning bearings carry radial load and a light axial load in either direction, and the misalignment they accept is small, so heavy axial loads and large deflections should be checked with AIMS before ordering.
Press on the ring that is being fitted, not the other ring or the balls: force goes through the side face of the inner ring on a shaft and through the outer ring in a housing.
