M50 Cast Snap Hook, 316 Stainless Steel - SSHA4M50

Made in 316 (A4) stainless steel, the Snap Hook Cast is a cast stainless hook with a spring-loaded gate that closes the throat. It clips onto a ring, rail or line.

A4 (316) stainless steel contains molybdenum (about 2 to 3 per cent), which improves its resistance to chlorides. It is the grade normally chosen for coastal, pool, marine and food-processing settings, and it costs more than A2 (304).

Use stainless washers and nuts with stainless fasteners, so the whole joint is made of the same material.
