Taper lock spacer couplings in sizes FSM16-140 to FSM30-180. A spacer coupling extends the distance between two shafts. It is designed to the tyre coupling specifications, so it can be used with other couplings in the range, and the catalogue lists pairings with tyre couplings.
The spacer is taper locked, so one coupling accommodates a large range of shaft sizes. The number at the end of each size is the spacer distance in millimetres, 140 or 180.

Selecting and fitting
The catalogue pairs the spacer coupling with these tyre couplings: FSM16-140 with T40, T50 or T60, FSM25-140 and FSM25-180 with T80 or T90, FSM30-180 with T100 or T110, and FSM35-180 with T120 or T140. Tyre coupling halves are on Flexible Tyre Coupling Flange (F) Half, Taper Lock, F40 to F220, Flexible Tyre Coupling Hub (H) Half, Taper Lock, F40 to F220 and Flexible Tyre Coupling Tyre, Synthetic, F40 to F220.
Size is chosen from the bush and shaft size and the spacer distance you need. Dimension letters follow the catalogue drawing. The catalogue lists FSM35-180 with partial data, so contact AIMS about that size.
Align the two shafts as closely as you can before fitting the coupling, and check the alignment again once the coupling is fitted. Good alignment gives the longest life, whatever the coupling type.
