The Sutton E523 (E523 1600) is a 3 flute R45 W regular endmill: solid carbide (VHM) with an AlCrN finish, 16 mm diameter, 92 mm overall length, 26 mm flute length and a 16 mm shank (DIN 6535 HA plain shank). Universal use for slotting and finishing with the one tool.

The 3 flute, R45 helix endmill has a 12° rake angle. It is made from solid carbide (VHM) with an AlCrN finish and a DIN 6535 HA plain shank with an h6 shank tolerance. Suitable for materials up to 45 HRC, soft materials.

Where this product is used

• Slotting and finishing with the one tool in soft materials, up to 45 HRC.
• Regular reach (DIN 6527L) for deeper slots and shoulders.

Using the endmill

• Hold the endmill in a milling chuck, collet or shrink-fit holder that grips the plain shank accurately and runs true.
• Use the recommended cutting data for the material and keep the tool clamped as short as the job allows.
• Carbide is brittle: avoid shock loads and keep the workpiece clamped rigidly.
