Sutton Easy-Out screw extractor sets remove broken fasteners, studs, and seized bolts from tapped holes without the need to re-drill or damage the surrounding material. The reverse-cut flute design bites into the broken fastener as anticlockwise turning force is applied.
Where this product is used
Used to extract broken bolts, screws, studs, and nipples from engine components, structural steelwork, and machinery housings during maintenance and repair.
- Removing broken bolts and studs from engine cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, and machine housings where conventional removal is not possible.
- Extracting seized and snapped screws from threaded inserts, fixtures, and flanges in maintenance engineering and trade repair work.
- Field repair operations on plant and equipment where waiting for a re-tap or helicoil repair would result in excessive downtime.

Selecting the right option
Drill a pilot hole in the centre of the broken fastener to the correct diameter for the extractor size before driving in the Easy-Out. Apply steady anticlockwise torque — do not force or the extractor itself may snap and compound the problem. For badly seized fasteners, apply penetrating oil and heat before attempting extraction.
