The Sutton T3850014 is a 14 piece metric tap and drill set: HSS intermediate straight flute taps in M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12 (7 taps), plus the 7 matching tapping drills. The taps are made to ISO 529, with a bright finish and ISO 2 / 6H tolerance.
The straight flute geometry is designed for general purpose use in materials up to 1000 N/mm2, for through and blind holes, and for both hand and machine operation. Hole depths up to approximately 1 x d1. The shanks are reinforced with a square drive. Made from high speed steel (HSS) with a bright finish.

What is in the set

Using the tap and drill set
- Drill the hole with the matching tapping drill from the set before tapping.
- Start the tap square to the hole and turn forward, backing off regularly to break the chip.
- Use a cutting fluid suited to the material being tapped.
