Straight flutes suit through or blind holes, but they hold only a small amount of chips and do not transport them axially, so deep holes are best avoided except in short chipping materials. The chamfer is Form C (2.5 x P), generally for blind holes.
The thread tolerance is 6H. The tap is built to DIN 371: reinforced shank with square drive.
