The Sutton T787 is a spiral flute tap (L12 spiral, Ti designation) for UNJF threads, made from powder metallurgy, 8% cobalt high speed steel (PM-HSS Co) with a TiCN coating. This listing covers 3 sizes from 1/4 x 28 TPI to 3/8 x 24 TPI.

The 12° left-hand spiral with right-hand cutting curls and carries the chips forward of the tap, like a gun tap, and the helical flutes keep the thread pitch where another hole crosses the tapped hole. It suits through holes, including interrupted holes.

The tap is built to DIN 2184-1.
