Koyo AS0619 thin thrust washer, 6 x 19 x 1 mm

These Koyo AS thin thrust washers are metric series thrust washers made of hardened spring steel. Thin washers are used when the supporting or backing members cannot be adequately prepared as raceways for the needle rollers, and at only 1.000 mm thick they give a very compact and cost-effective thrust bearing arrangement.

Washers can be supplied separately, and they are usually guided on the shaft, although they may be housing-guided where the application needs it. Each size matches the bore and outside diameter of the Koyo AXK thrust needle roller and cage assembly of the same size number.

The range has 23 sizes with bore diameters from 6 to 160 mm. Koyo bearings are made by JTEKT Corporation.

Selecting the right option

Choose the washer from the bore diameter d and the outside diameter D of the thrust needle roller and cage assembly it will back. A washer and an AXK assembly of the same size number have the same bore and outside diameters.

For thin washers, provide full backup across the whole area of circulation of the rolling elements.

Fitting and use

Mount the washer with a shaft tolerance of h8 for shaft piloting or a housing tolerance of H8 for housing piloting. To reduce wear in the thrust assembly, harden the piloting surface for the washer to at least 55 HRC.

The outside diameter tolerance is e13 and the bore tolerance is E13. The surface the washer bears on must be square with the shaft axis and must not be dished or coned.

Oil is the preferred lubricant for thrust needle roller and cage assemblies, and an ample oil flow is necessary for high speeds, or for moderate speeds when the load is relatively high.
