Unasco Nickel Anti-Seize Compound, Brush Top 600g

Unasco is an Australian manufacturer of thread sealing and pipe jointing products, producing PTFE thread seal tape, anti-seize tape, and anaerobic thread sealant compounds for use in plumbing, gas, hydraulic, and industrial pipe fitting applications. Their products are manufactured and tested to Australian standards and are stocked by AIMS Industrial as a complete range covering the most common thread sealing requirements across trades, maintenance, and industrial installations.

Unasco anti-seize tape and compound are applied to threaded connections on stainless steel, titanium, and other galling-prone materials to prevent thread seizure (galling) during assembly and to ensure the connection can be disassembled without damage. PTFE-based anti-seize tape and copper/nickel compound are the two primary products, suited to different temperature ranges and service conditions.

Where this product is used

Anti-seize products are used wherever thread galling or seizure is a risk:

• Stainless steel pipe and fitting connections where galling during assembly ruins threads without lubrication.
• High-temperature applications including exhaust systems, boiler fittings, and process equipment where conventional thread lubricants burn off.
• Dissimilar metal connections where galvanic corrosion would otherwise weld the threads together over time.

Selecting the right option

PTFE anti-seize tape suits most stainless and alloy steel threaded connections at moderate service temperatures. Copper or nickel-based compound is required for high-temperature applications (exhaust, steam, furnace fittings) where tape would break down. Apply anti-seize sparingly — heavy application can hydraulically lock fittings and make torque values unreliable. Follow the fitting manufacturer's specification for torque values when anti-seize is applied.
