WH12 Weld On Hub, Taper Bore, 1210 Taper Lock Bush

Taper bore weld on hubs, WH series, in sizes WH12 to WH35, for taper lock bushes 1210 to 3525. A weld on hub is drilled, tapered and bored to receive a standard taper lock bush. The extended flange provides a convenient means of welding the hub to a device that must be firmly fastened to a shaft.

Each part number is made for one taper lock bush size, and the table below lists the bush number and the A, B, C, D, E and F dimensions from the manufacturer catalogue.

Selecting and fitting

Choose the hub by the taper lock bush it takes. The bush is sold separately, in cast iron and steel: see Taper Lock Bush, Metric Bore, Cast Iron, Series 1008 to 5050, Taper Lock Bush, Imperial Bore, Cast Iron, Series 1008 to 5050, Taper Lock Bush, Metric Bore, Steel, Series 1008 to 5050 and Taper Lock Bush, Imperial Bore, Steel, Series 1108 to 4040. The bush fixes the hub to the shaft, so the bore, keyway and shaft size are decided by the bush you select.

The other weld on hub series is on Weld On Hub, Taper Bore, W Series, W12 to W50, and the bolt on version, for jobs where welding is not allowed, is on Bolt On Hub, Taper Lock, BF12 to BF30.

Weld the hub to the device before fitting the bush, so that the weld heat does not reach the bush. Tighten the bush screws evenly to the bush manufacturer's torque.
