EasyRoll I3 Swivel Plate Castor with Brake, White Nylon 100 mm | I32TZ48K100

The EasyRoll I3 series swivel plate castor with brake is fitted with a white nylon wheel and is available in 100 and 125 mm wheel diameters. Load capacity is 230 kg to 250 kg per castor depending on the wheel size. The top plate is 105 x 85 mm with hole centres of 80 x 60 mm.

The I3 series is suited to general trolleys, heavy capacity shopfittings and medical equipment. It has double headset bearings, double precision wheel bearings.

Selecting the right option

A swivel castor turns to follow the direction of travel and a fixed castor rolls in a straight line, so many trolleys use fixed castors at one end and swivel castors at the other. A total lock brake stops both the swivel action and the wheel rotation, which EHI describes as the safest of all brake types. EHI rates nylon wheels as follows: fair shock absorbency and floor protection, excellent load capacity and push effort and good durability. It suits smooth concrete, is strong and economical and may be noisy. Load capacity is shown per castor, on an average floor at speeds up to 4 km/h (manufacturer-stated). The capacity of a trolley is not the sum of its castors: for a four wheel trolley EHI recommends each castor is rated for at least 35 percent of the total load, which is the weight of the trolley plus what it carries.
