This AAP polypropylene camlock coupler is a Type B: a female camlock end and a male BSP thread. It is supplied in 6 sizes from 3/4 in (20 mm) to 3 in (80 mm).
Camlocks, also known as cam and groove fittings, give a quick connection and disconnection of hose and piping. The female camlock end locks onto a male camlock end of the same size, and the male BSP thread screws into a female threaded port.
It is black polypropylene (30% glass filled), which AAP says is used extensively in the chemical and agricultural sectors, including spraying equipment (manufacturer-stated).
AAP makes its camlocks to interchange with products made to Mil Spec A-A 59326 (manufacturer-stated). AAP states that the threads are cut to ISO 228. Dimension letters in the table follow the AAP catalogue drawings.

Selecting the right option
Choose the size to match the hose or pipe thread you are connecting, and pair it with a male camlock of the same size (Types A, E or F). Check the mating thread is BSP, because AAP cuts these threads to ISO 228. AAP gives the media as water, oil, powders and some hydrocarbons and chemicals, so check chemical compatibility before use. AAP also lists spare parts for its camlocks: brass handles (code CBH), handle pins (code CP) and NBR gaskets (code CGN), so contact AIMS if you need them.
