1/2 in (15 mm) Gas Brass Ball Valve, Flared | VF15

This AAP flared gas brass ball valve has flared connections. It is supplied in 3 sizes from 3/8 in (10 mm) to 3/4 in (20 mm).

A ball valve turns a ball with a hole through it between sealing seats. When the lever or handle is in line with the pipe the hole lines up with the flow and the valve is open, and a quarter turn closes it. AAP notes that the handle sits in line with the port, so it shows the valve position.

AAP lists the flared valve in its AGA approved gas ball valve section, but gives no separate pressure, temperature or flare specification for it, so confirm those with AIMS before you order. Gas fitting work must be done by a licensed gasfitter, so check the approval and the gas pressure limits against the rules for your job before you install it.
