A forged class 3000 hexagon plug that closes off a female-threaded port with a hex-head male plug. Made to ASME B16.11-2009 from ASTM A105 carbon steel, hot-dipped galvanised with NPT male threads, both ends cut at both ends. Hot-dipped galvanised finish to ASTM A153 gives long service life on exposed and buried runs. Threads are cut before galvanising and will engage standard BSPT or NPT pipe. As a hexagon plug (category-derived) in galvanised with NPT connections, it pairs cleanly with the rest of the AAP high-pressure range so a complete joint can be built from one supplier.
